A short list of the best logic games ever made
From Nikoli's paper puzzles to modern reinterpretations, here are the logic games worth learning.
Logic puzzles have a longer history than most people realize. The classics have survived for a reason.
Sudoku
Still the standard-bearer. Its rules fit on a matchbook and the difficulty range is enormous.
Nonograms
Also called Picross. Draw pictures by deducing which cells in a grid are filled, using number clues on each row and column.
Slitherlink
A single loop, drawn on a grid, obeying number constraints. Deceptively deep.
Kakuro
Crossword-style number grids where sums replace clues. Rewarding for people who love the intersection of words and math.
